Discussion was on May 21, 2011 Welcome to the first Sweeping Zen roundtable discussion. Our guests today are author Erik Storlie, Zen teacher and author Myoan Grace Schireson, and Abbot of the Victoria Zen Center, Eshu Martin. Today we will be discussing Dharma transmission, using Erik's piece Lineage Delusions: Eido Shimano roshi, Dharma transmission, and American Zen as the backdrop. Both Eshu and Grace responded on their blogs at the website with reactions to this essay, so I thought that they would both bring a lot to this discussion.
